- Maintain a library of the essential books on environment/sustainability (See our resource list)
- Subscribe to appropriate magazines: ABIL, ReadyMade, MAKE, Metropolis, Journal of Industrial Ecology, Science, Nature
- Post a calendar of environment/energy events on and off campus
- Have a comprehensive, interactive website
- Dedicated classroom/meeting room area for sustainable education in the dorm
- Meeting area for student groups: Students for a Sustainable Stanford, Green Dorm, Engineers for a Sustainable World, etc.
- Information about the Dorm for general public/passersby
- Speaker Series held in Green Dorm: Woods Institute Energy Seminars?
- Grant system for funding student research and experiments Green Fund now exists
- Hands-on Workshops (make your own Biodiesel, create a sustainable garden space, organic/sustainable beer brewing....)
- Maximize resident interaction with everything-empower them
- Signs throughout to explain to visitors AND residents the different features, how they work, and why they are the way they are.
