Why Combined Heat and Power is Better than Separate Generation

Cogeneration Diagram

What is Trigeneration?

Trigeneration is the simultaneous generation of power, heat, and cooling. Heat that would've been thrown away in a conventional power plant is put to use directly for heat, and indirectly to power an absorption chilling cycle to produce cold water for cooling.
