Utility Bill Competition

This is a really interesting article from the NYTimes about utilities comparing costumers to their neighbors in order to foster energy efficiency. But if you read a little ways down it discusses college dorm programs that do the same. Very cool….

Serious Windows

Their low end windows are R-5 (not center of glass, but the whole window!). From what I’ve heard they may cost as little as $15/sf.
Their higher end windows go up to R-11, which previously has been virtually unheard of!

An excellent complement to Passive House!
